Dental Services at Atlantic Dental Team in Pompano Beach, Florida

General Dentistry

Our general dentistry services include the following services:

Teeth Exams and Cleanings
Teeth Fillings
Caps and Crowns
Root Canals
Veneers
Periodontal Care (Gums)
Extractions

We encourage all of our patients to schedule a routine exam once or twice per year, depending on their health needs. All good oral health care starts with a complete exam.

The exam will start with your doctor taking x-rays of all your teeth. This is a quick process that will provide your dentist with important information about the condition of your teeth below the surface.

Next, your dentist will conduct a physical exam of your mouth and teeth. The dentist will check the physical appearance of your mouth, teeth, and gums and look for any issues that may need to be treated.

Once your exam is completed, and your dentist recommends any further treatments you may need, your teeth will be cleaned by the hygienist. The cleaning process does not take very long and leaves your teeth feeling very smooth and clean. It is an overall pleasant experience.

If other dental work is to be completed, your dentist will still conduct an initial exam and determine what actions to take to help improve your oral health. Your dentist will explain everything to you and make all the appropriate recommendations based on your actual exam.

Cosmetic Dentistry

There are many different reasons that you may elect to have cosmetic dentistry. You may want to change or improve your smile, you may want to straighten your teeth, or you may want to correct an issue from an accident or illness. Whatever the reason, we offer several different cosmetic options to help make you happy with your smile.

Our office can provide you with the following cosmetic services:
Teeth Whitening
Dental Implants
Veneers
Invisalign

Having cosmetic dentistry is affordable and provides you with a level of confidence that you can only experience when you are comfortable with your smile. Our office accepts most insurance plans for dental services and also offers very flexible financing options for dental work. We are positive that we have an option that will fit your budget.

Replacement Dentistry

Dental Team FL offers many different replacement dentistry services to help you rebuild your smile. These services include:

Dental Implants
All on 4 Dental Implants
Dentures
Dental Bridges

There are many reasons that you may need to replace your teeth. Accidents, illnesses, or even the condition of the tooth or teeth may require replacement. Although root canals are often an option to save a tooth, sometimes it is not possible, and an implant is recommended.

Replacement dentistry is all completed using sedation so that our clients do not have to experience anxiety or feel any discomfort. We will make sure that you are comfortable throughout the entire procedure so that all you have to worry about is being excited about your new smile.

Caring For Your Gums

Caring for your gums is just as important as taking care of your teeth. Your gums hold your teeth in place and if they become infected or intensive pain and tooth loss. In severe cases of gum disease, jawbones can be impacted as well.

Caring for your gums requires daily brushing and flossing of your teeth. This removes the plaque build up around the gum line and keeps your gums healthy. Brushing also stimulates blood flow to your gums to keep them healthy.

If you are suffering from sore or bleeding gums, it is important to speak with a dentist as soon as possible. Gum disease can be reversed quite easily if caught in its early stages. Regular oral exams will also help prevent gum disease from starting.

Oral Health And Your Overall Health

Taking care of your teeth and gums is an essential part of your overall health routine. When you maintain good oral health, you reduce your risk for other medical conditions that have been associated with poor oral hygiene.

Many medical studies have shown that plaque builds up on teeth and gum disease can be related to other medical conditions. The bacteria and inflammation from gum disease can affect your heart, cause inflammation throughout the body, cause a mental decline in older people, and even affect Type II diabetes.

Oral health starts with daily brushing and flossing of your teeth. However, you significantly improve the health of your teeth and gums through regular dental checkups.

Dr Mantel is a very caring and honest dentist.
